Some find chores tedious, and in certain moments, I do too. But chores indicate one thing – your life is stable. You’re not starving, you’re not scrabbling for the next closest means for survival. You’re alive, thriving, and well. So the next time you complain about the laundry you’re about to do, or the dishes you’re supposed to wash, think to yourself: at least you have clothes to wear, at least you have food to eat. Chores are boring, but boring is good. Boring means you’re blessed, that your life is stable to an extent.
